Dear RSPCA and World horse welfare ,

The petition above has been created to help save the horses in the field by Goshen vets. For a number of years now members of the public have been growing increasing worried about these horses.
The information that has so far been gathered is astonishing.

These horses are owned by a lady who is known for breeding and dealing in horses. The sad reality is that if she cannot sell these animals at auction then she simply abandons them in what ever field is available.

As mentioned above members of the public have been growing increasingly worried about these animals and have been feeding them and looking out for their general wellbeing out of their own pockets and generosity.
At present these horses are in a field with no shelter or water and only the food that the general public have been providing. The field in this weather is becoming very boggy and there is a risk factor for these horses getting mud fever. If they do get mud fever and its left untreated then it could become a huge issue.

We are caught between a rock and a hard place as we have been told that if we were to go into the field to help build a shelter for them then we would be liable for prosecution and be arrested for trespassing.

There has been more evidence that is being gathered that suggests that this lady has had horses previously removed from her care and she was banned from keeping these animals. As members of the public unfortunately we do not have the power to obtain hard evidence of this , although we do have an account from a witness who was present at the time.

The RSPCA has been notified of this situation and has stated that due to the general public feeding these horses they are not in dyer need of rescuing . However these horses are abandoned and we the general public are putting it to you that what if these horses needed medical care ? We would not be able to help due to not owning them. We are not able to administer wormer , or louse treatment or even get a dentist in to check their teeth.

As you can understand this problem is not going to go away, we are going to do what we can for these horses. We are currently compiling a cluster of statements , and still continuing to obtain evidence. Once we have obtained everything within our power we will then email yourselves once again for your help.

We would personally like to thank you for taking the time to read this. On behalf of everyone helping these horses we do so desperately hope that you take this situation as seriously as you can. Many thanks to everyone who supports us the general public.
